RVT, Internal Medicine, Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital

Mississauga-Oakville Emergency and Specialty Hospital is currently welcoming a dedicated full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team.

Our Internal Medicine-focused RVTs have the opportunity to work with and learn from other RVTs and knowledgeable support staff, as well as our board-certified Specialists. If you want to expand your knowledge and skills, joining the VCA-MOVEH team would be a great opportunity for career advancement.

• Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital is an asset; our RVTs are given the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed.
• Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT or eligible to register
• Ability to perform a variety of clinical procedures, including (not limited to):
• Venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, in-house lab work, patient assessment, sedation and anesthesia, and patient recovery
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a steady, often fast-paced environment
• Willing to further enhance technical skills and expertise
• Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
• Confident and supportive team player who can also work independently when required
• Flexibility, willingness and passion are needed to provide the highest standards of care for our patients, clients and each other!

Schedule: 40 hours/week (4 x 10-hour shifts)
