South Peel Veterinary Hospital, located in central Mississauga, is searching for a registered veterinary technician to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team. We are a progressive AAHA-accredited practice with a long and trusted history. The practice has been an integral part of Mississauga for over fifty years. We continue to see original clients along with their younger generations, as well as welcoming new clients and their pets into the South Peel family. Our family-owned pet-centred practice sees dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets.
Our RVTs work alongside our 2 full-time doctors and 2 part-time veterinarians. You will get to make full use of your RVT skills during anaesthesia, surgery, dentistry, radiology, lab work, as well as assisting our veterinarians as needed. We have in-house lab equipment, surgical laser, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays and ultrasound to help provide the high level care we give to our patients. Client interaction and education are an important aspect of the position as we believe that our clients should be well-informed and knowledgeable about their pets and that doing so is our team’s responsibility.
If you are warm, friendly, enjoy working as a member of a team, can work independently as required and have a good sense of humour you are our ideal candidate. Although experience is preferred we are happy to train the right new graduate. Both of our RVTs are experienced working with students and would look forward to training and mentoring a new grad.
We are open 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday as well as 8 am to 12:30 pm on Saturdays. You will work 40 hours per week. Scheduling is flexible and is designed to provide a good work-life balance.
