North Simcoe Veterinary Services and Midland Veterinary Services are established and respected veterinary clinics with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate and top-quality care to our beloved pets. We are currently searching for a devoted and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience. As a vital member of our clinic, the RVT will work collaboratively with our veterinarians and support staff to ensure the well-being of our patients and the satisfaction of our clients. This position has the potential to have scheduled hours within both clinics. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
- Safely monitoring anesthesia and providing post-op care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide client education including: preventative care, nutrition and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the clinic
- Handle client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Veterinary Techology program
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
- 2 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic setting
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in patient care
- Flexibility to work weekends
