The Role

The Practice Data Specialist works specifically with veterinary practice codes across all major PIMS (Practice Management Software), organizing or “mapping” codes. This code normalization process allows practices to have an accurate view of their revenue categories and how those compare to other practices. You will be looking at codes and organizing them into appropriate categories, also adding additional information through tags and dosage information.

You will be in close contact with our Lead Practice Data Specialist, to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, with very high accuracy. The work you do will ensure that our clients can rely on our products to measure success in their practice.

All mapping is done through the secure Vetsource mapping website; you will not be using any PMS directly.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital setting
  • In-depth knowledge of the services and products provided in veterinary medicine
  • Ability to work independently with self-motivation
  • Excessive attention to detail
  • Your own computer and reliable internet to access the mapping site and our communication channels through Slack

Our Practice Data Specialists are independent contractors who work remotely. As an independent contractor, your hours of work are completely flexible. You will be provided with ample training, as well as ongoing support from the Lead Practice Data Specialist, and other members of your team.

Compensation for Practice Data Specialists fluctuates based on the normalization project, but a general range is between $20.00 – $35.00/hr.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in Canada or the world.

We are currently looking to fill a six month contract with flexible casual or full-time hours, with the possibility of a contract extension.

To apply please send your resume, cover to aaskes@vetsource.com.
We thank all applicants for applying, however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
