Position Description:
The University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus invites applications for fixed term part-time Lab Assistants, supporting courses in the Veterinary Technology Associate Diploma and Veterinary Assistant and Office Administration Certificate programs. These positions are covered by the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement between OSSTF/TARA District 35 and the University of Guelph. The appointments will begin in September 2024 and will end in December 2024. The positions are based at the Ridgetown Campus, in the municipality of Chatham-Kent, 200km southwest of the University’s main campus in Guelph.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Academic Quality and Student Success, Lab Assistants are responsible for delivering and setting up laboratory material provided by the Instructor(s) and for providing student support.

 

Position Requirements:
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician with two years of clinical experience.
Effective communication skills are required.

Work hours vary and are flexible.

Classification: OSSTF/TARA, District 35 Salary Band 3
