Website Stittsville Small Animal Clinic

Stittsville Small Animal Clinic is a team-oriented, progressive, fun-loving small animal clinic catering to dogs and cats in a fast-growing western suburb of Ottawa. We are seeking a FULL TIME REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN, and a FULL OR PART TIME VETERINARY ASSISTANT. We pride ourselves in providing a wonderful, supportive work environment for our staff and value every individual’s interests, strengths and quality of life while at work. We strive to encourage our staff in furthering their education/experience and in pursuing all veterinary-related interests, as well as provide a positive atmosphere within the clinic. We live by our motto: Modern Medicine with a Small Town, Family Feel!

We are a paper-free, fully computerized clinic (Cornerstone) and are equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, modern anesthesia equipment and much more. The clinic has a fully remodeled private dental suite with in-suite digital x-ray. We offer a wide array of medical and surgical procedures and strive to always employ the most current techniques in veterinary medicine, while prioritizing the importance of pain control, fear-free environments, and quality of life for our patients.

RVT duties will include anesthesia and monitoring, radiology, dentistry, sample collection, preparation, and testing (venipuncture/cystocentesis/cytology), client education and providing exceptional patient and client care.

Our RVTs are highly trained and are treated as such – we give our RVTs a lot of freedom and responsibility without micromanaging. If you are an independent thinker and enjoy being treated as an equal on the team, this position is for you! We are in a rapidly expanding area and are looking for the perfect fit to grow and develop our already fantastic team.

Our VAs are an integral and important part of our everyday practice, allowing them to fully utilize their skills.

Competitive wages, benefits, CE allowance, OAVT dues and uniforms provided. We also offer excellent discounts for staff pets. Experience with Cornerstone an asset.
