A FULL TIME POSITION FOR A REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN!

Queensway West Animal Hospital in Kanata, ON is looking for a full-time  Registered Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. We have a fantastic team that are friendly, professional and supportive of new team members.

We are a 3 veterinarian hospital that practices Team Medicine.

RVTs join the DVM for all patient appointments.
RVTs conduct their own separate technician appointments and follow-up calls with clients.
New RVTs when established, handle surgery preparation and monitoring which includes intubation and various surgical blocks for dental and surgical procedures.
RVTs perform dental cleanings, charting, take all dental radiographs and perform the necessary dental blocks.  We are happy to teach any of these skills to a new RVT.
All radiographs are digital technology, dental as well as full body.
RVTs set up all CRIs for long surgical and dental procedures.
Equipment for surgery and Lab include:

Idexx Lab Station, Procyte, Catalyst Dx, SediVue Urinalysis, Doppler, Cardell, Capnograph and Bair Hugger.

This is a full time position which will include evening and possible reception area shifts.  WE ARE CLOSED WEEKENDS.

Experience with AviMark software would be an asset but not necessary.  We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, uniform and CE allowances, as well as generous employee discounts, which include one complimentary dental cleaning per year for your pet.
