Join Our Team as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at CTVRC/EC!

Are you passionate about veterinary medicine and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, supportive environment? Central Toronto Veterinary and Referral & Emergency Clinic (CTVRC/EC) is seeking a dedicated RVT to join our Emergency Care Service.

Anticipated Schedule

  • Open to full time or part time!
  • Days & Overnights available10-hour shifts on weekdays/evenings
  • 12-hour shifts on weekends
  • Rotational weekends, every 2-3 weeks, but if you prefer weekends, you won’t be denied 🙂

Compensation:

  • $26 – $35 Based on experience & skill set
  • $2 shift premiums between 7 PM and 7 AM.

What You’ll Do:

  • Triage and Assess: Perform triage duties and document evaluations for animals with critical conditions, including shock, acute illness, trauma, and toxicity.
  • Advanced Medical Procedures: Execute advanced procedures like thoracentesis, ultrasounds, central line placement, epidurals, and more, with the support of our experienced team.
  • Nursing Care: Provide top-notch nursing care to in-house and out-patients, including TPRs, catheterization, wound management, and rehabilitation therapy.
  • Surgical Support: Assist in full-scope surgery services from prep to post-op recovery, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Qualifications: New graduates are welcome!

  • Graduation from an OAVT-accredited college program.
  • Passed or in the process of writing the VTNE.
  • OAVT membership in good standing.
  • Collaborative clinical approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient care, customer service, respect, and accountability.
