North York Animal Rehabiitation

We are currently seeking a compassionate candidate with strong organizational and communications skills to join our team in our North York location.

This role is vital in supporting our commitment to providing exceptional care and improving the health of our patients.

The position is based at Yonge and Sheppard with direct subway access and offers an opportunity to work within a passionate healthcare environment.

Competitive salary starting at $28-35 per hour commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

Provide hands on, 1 to 1,individual rehabilitation treatments for dogs, cats and other small companion animals as ordered by a veterinarian

Assist in implementing customized physiotherapy and exercise plans

Perform therapeutic modalities such as laser,range of motion exercises,massage, balance and strengthening activities

Monitor and document patient progress, including reponse to therapy, behaviour and clinical changes and send reports to referring veterinarian

Educate pet owners on home exercise programs and ongoing care

Maintain a clean,safe and organized treatment environment

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing day to day operations independently with collaboration from the treatment team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care

 

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Veterinarian Technician in good standing with OAVT

Must have familiarity or prior experience with animal rehabilitation, particularly small animals

Must have management and coordination skills in order to implement new programs and operational systems

Proximity to Yonge and Sheppard is a plus
