OAVT CE Event - Ticks: Coming to a Forest Near You!

Sunday, September 23, 2018

Ticks are on the move in Ontario. It is no longer safe to think that ticks are not a threat to the health of clients and companion animals in Northern Ontario. Tick range increases yearly, bringing tick-borne diseases into more and more parts of the province.

In partnership with Bayer, the OAVT is pleased to bring you a day of comprehensive tick education. Dr. Tamara Hofstede will be leading sessions that include:

  • how to identify ticks with confidence
  • what types of diseases ticks may carry
  • preventive measures for pets
